The Henley

A henhouse for all breeds of poultry including large fowl. A variety of sizes are available plus custom painting in your choice of Farrow & Ball colours.

The Henley is a compact easily managed unit with special features such as a lift-up roof and a side-access door. It also has a removable nest box and roofing system – all these features make the task of cleaning easier. It is fitted with carrying handles and is suitable for up to seven laying hens, a breeding trio of hens or a maximum of ten true-bantams or miniatures.

Details

End access doors, 25mm (1”) square heavy galvanised steel mesh and a two bay nest box. The internal access ladder pulls up on a cord to shut the hens up at night.

The Henlet

The 6’ Henlet is suitable for small chickens, miniatures and bantams. Depending on the size of the chicken, the Henlet will house up to 15 bantams.

It has all of the same features as the Henley (above) but is 1 metre wide and only 1 metre high.

Rabbit Henlet

4’ Henlet for Rabbits

This is a smaller adaptation of the Henlet, using the high-quality features of the chicken house but specially adapted for housing small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. It has special sleeping quarters, smaller opening with a fixed stairway and sidewalls; the front door is divided into to two so when you open the door, the sleeping quarters can be kept closed.

Oakley

The Oakley is a bespoke hen house with a detachable roof. The door hinges down and acts as an entrance. 

The Oakley is suitable for a single hen, but is also suitable as a hen house for a pair of small bantams. It can also be used to house small pets such as rabbits, ferrets guinea pigs.

Thrippett

The Thrippett is suitable for a guinea pig or rabbit, broody bantam with chicks, or two to three bantams. Larger sizes available.

The Thrippet interior is designed for easy cleaning with no ridges or slots. One side is fully hinged to enable easy access to the interior. A pullcord operates the door to the house and is fitted with a camcleat. The run has a door in the end panel and the roof for access to the run. Roofs are also hinged for easy access. Handles are fitted at the rear of the hut and the front of the run. The run has fully galvanised mesh.

The range of Thrippetts is suitable for a guinea pig or rabbit, broody bantam with chicks, or two to three bantams up to three or four chickens, depending on the size you choose.

Hargrave

A stunning henhouse that comes in a range of sizes to accommodate  5-150 free-ranging hens.

The Hargrave henhouse is raised off the ground to prevent vermin from settling underneath and has an onduline roof. It is exceptionally easy to clean out – the whole nest box is easily removable. There are perches with dropping boards beneath. The pop-hole has a door that hinges down and acts as an access ramp. It has a ventilation window with a sliding window frame.

An observation window is fitted in the door and this hen house has a removable dropping board as standard. It is available in a range of sizes, starting from 3’x3’. The whole house is fully tanalised (pressure treated) in light green for extended life.

Holbrook

A large, aviary-style henhouse. Different sizes are available along with optional add-ons and accessories.

The Holbrook has a removable nest box for ease of cleaning. It has double-back doors for excellent access and no ledges to inhibit maintenance. Its removable perch and ramp can be easily detached for thorough cleaning. The standard versions are 5’ high to the apex of the ridge, there is a taller version which is high enough for a person to stand upright in the house. Every Holbrook henhouse comes with an onduline roofs.

The Holbrook is supplied with a run, extended runs are available. The shelter in the three smaller houses is 2’ deep but the runs differ in length. 

The 8’x4’ house has a 3’ deep shelter and a 5’ run. Chickens have access underneath the shelter, making the run 8’ long.

Over the years we have worked on a number of impressive commissions to construct henhouses to customer’s specific needs. These include matching the general features of an existing building, making henhouses in the form of scaled-down versions of buildings and constructing houses which incorporate specific ideas or features which our customers have suggested.
